Went back to Wolf Trap for another outing last night. This time to go see the band Train! Some might know that Train sings my absolute favorite song in the world, “Drops of Jupiter”. That song means alot to me. They are among my top 3 favorite bands. I met up with Julie G. to go see the event. As usual, you ALWAYS have to check out the drummer! Scott Underwood is one bad dude! And, as everyone already knows, Pat Monahan’s vocals are phenomenal! I would love a voice like that. It was a really great personal show! Pat kept pulling chicks from the front row onto the stage to sing with him! GENIOUS!! Sounds like something I would do, but it’s be kinda hard from behind a drumset! Sorry, couldn’t take pictures cause I forgot the camera! I know, slackin’ Anyway, Very recommended show! And will be going the next time they are in town!!

As some already know, I have 2 Jeeps! Both a 2004 and 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado. What can I say, I love that car! I’ve been debating on which one to let go and I have decided. Surprising to most, I decided to list my 2006 Jeep GC for a Lease Assumption instead of selling the 2004. I’m not too happy about giving either of them up because they both have their uses. But, gotta take care of business. Crazy, huh? Here is the listing on www.SwapALease.com. So, I have started to look for a warm home for one of my boys! I know, it’s a sad story…

Let me just say what everyone who already knows them already thinks, Jim and Terri are the best party hosts in Maryland! I was able to get together with my adopted family and have a great relaxing weekend. There was a familiar face. Lisa was able to make the trip to come down here and party. It is always a treat to see her and her freakishly small ankles!

Jim’s buddy Dave (yeah, the infamous) and his family were also in attendance. Great people! I can see why I’ve heard so much about them. I soooo needed to get away from it all and what better place than at the Tiki Bar at Jim’s! So to Lisa, Dave, Gina, Kristina, Mike, and Derek, I had an absolute blast hanging with you guys! Sorry for almost tossing Derek into the next county!! If you guys ever want to add any pictures to my photo gallery, just let me know! So as always… …”Keep on Rockin in the free world!!!”

I have a pretty strong view of Tablatures and Sheet Music. MxTabs has yet again decided to close it’s doorway to nearly 150,000 musical tabs that had been available to musicians all over the world. To think, this gem started as a hobbie of some young budding drummer who wanted to learn more about playing. As it stands today, MxTabs hosts just a departing letter. The MPA has forced the musical phenomenon to close dispite accounting for over $3000 dollars in sales for Sheet Music publications (claims the admins of MxTabs).

MxTabs did not offer a transcribed copy of the published sheet music. It didn’t even offer illegal downloads of the music. It simply offered myself and all other musicians a way to share with the world how “WE” play a song. It seems like a dark day cast on the outlook of progressing musicians. I am still hopeful that the MPA won’t be allowed to get away with it!

LET’S FIGHT IT!!!

As far as I can tell, The best way to fight this issue that affects so many is to continue to TALK ABOUT IT and WRITE ABOUT IT! Give the representation of MxTabs a TRAIL ACROSS THE WEB of the countless individuals who are declaring the site is a GOOD and LEGAL RESOURCE. You can SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS and BE HEARD! Google “MxTabs” and you will find HUNDREDS OF POSTS of INDIVIDUALS AROUND THE WORLD that are all saying the SAME THING! “I would love to be able to share MY INTERPETATION of a new song with YOU! And vice-versa.” So CONTINUE TO BLOG and WRITE MXTABS IN SUPPORT! Sooner or later WE HAVE TO BE HEARD! –Rico B.
