Extreme Macro Photography *(*@

Reading is Fundamental!! I sometimes sit and read about things I am genuinely interested in. Photography is definitely one of them. I recently learned a new (to me
technique to get some really awesome macro photography shots. Macro photography is simply “close-up photography”. I started a new gallery where my macro experiments will end up… Hope you like… –Rico

This is one of my macros…

…This is the same photo at full resolution. By the way, it is just paper (sheetmusic to be exact).
A Few of My Friends…

A few weeks ago, Nancy, Pat, and Kennedy were in town. So, what seems to have become a tradition around here, we all got together and partied!! Our photoshoot was a blast and I have posted a few of the shots. Sorry for the being a few weeks late!! Sometimes life gets in the way!
Shoot the Moon…
by Rico on Dec.04, 2008, under Fun, Photography

Last night I thought it would be pretty cool to go out and see if I can get some good shots of the moon. We had a really clear sky and the cresent was bright. This shot came out better than I’d hoped. It was really cold out, so I wasn’t out for too long! Turns out, Venus and Jupiter are in a pretty close proximity to eachother and are clearly visible. Maybe tonight I will try to get them as well…

Rico’s Air Show Shots
Joe’s Air Show Shots
Saturday’s Air show at Andrews was AWESOME!! It was the first year that I had my Digital SLR. I took full advantage of getting close to some of the coolest aircraft flying. Joe and his girl, Amanda, went with me (actually I went with them!). And, it seems that out of nowhere and right on cue, Wayne, Francine, and young Selena showed up in the rear view mirror like it was supposed to happen! I captured about 1200 shots and put the keepers in the gallery. I hope you enjoy! Joe captured some really nice images with his 400mm zoom lens so you can check his shots out as well. All I have to say is as the F-22 Raptor took off, the sound crew played OneRepublic’s “Stop and Stare” and that is EXACTLY what the ENTIRE crowd did! Being ex-Air Force, it almost brought a tear to my eye (literally…)
